On day 3 in Jamaica, we sailed....
........uh oh....

When you tell folks you're going to Jamaica, they like to give you stories about crime, kidnapping, razor wire, machine guns, crazed drug lords, beggars, thieves, etc etc etc...and usually,these are 1st hand stories, that came from a friend of their mothers second cousins boy who stopped in Jamaica on a cruise and was damn lucky to get out alive.  Truth is he probably got caught by the cruiseship police trying to smuggle a bottle of good Jamaican rum back on the boat, so he's bitter about the whole country.  That's good...his kind should stay home.  Yeah, there's bad in Jamaica...just like there's bad in Nashville, Tn and Montgomery, Al and everywhere else there's people.  Luckily, I ignored these warnings and went to Negril, Jamaica some 7 years or so ago...and met some great people and had a large time.  In a desperate need to escape the never-ending cold of this winter, me and JimmyD set off on an adventure back to Jamaica, to a spot right smack in the middle of Negril's famous 7 mile beach, to Nirvana on the beach.  (Admittingly, some, including myself, anticipated this trip to be an audition for 'Locked Up Abroad.')

...mainly, we chilled...we sat on the beach, and we chilled...watched the world go by with the Caribbean background...and basked in the world of Nirvana...here's some of our new friends...

......just to mention a few!  What a way to spend a few days...as you can see, there is a different side to Jamaica...through Nirvana eyes!
