SUNSHINE....SOON COME....PLEASE?!?

Last weekend there was a big ball of fire spotted in the sky...it was a little frightening for a while, then someone with more memory than me remembered that it was called the sun, and that it's a good thing, and it brings warmth, and happiness, and good feelings.  So Saturday we O'rode around and this 'sun' followed us around...it was great!   And  we sat on the porch Sunday morning and enjoyed left over bloody marys, basking in this sky warmth... and Sunday afternoon on the deck, listening to tunes with the windows open, enjoying the company of the Patel Brothers and some of the New Belgium family.  I think I'm beginning to recall...this is more like the lakelizard life I remember...have I been hibernating?  Is everything going to be alright?...and just when I'm starting to get optimistic about the future...

ICE, SNOW AND DAMN COLD WEATHER!

Here we friggin' go again!  Are you kiddin' me?  Argggggggggggggggggg!

So here's the NEWS:

Bridges and overpasses freeze first...nobody bought enough salt for the roads except for Wilson County...they apparently don't use theirs, so they won't run out...snow days snow days...windchill, windshield...black ice...wintermix...accumulation...up to 1 inch...less than 1 inch...more than an inch...the plateau...snowplow...salt trucks...and BRINE!

Ok...I've had it!  Ice down the Red Stripes, put the jerk chicken on, call Clive and tell him to meet me in Mo'Bay!

Hibernation is over...OVER!          Sunshine soon come...

I couldn't agree more. Oh, and let's not forget all that talk of thunder snow. The one bright spot in last week was mention of this year's Gemini party...
