2011-me and Keith Richards give up heroin
Happy New Year to all of the lakelizardmusic family and friends across the world...hopefully the coming year will kick ass for all of us!
Last year saw me changing jobs and leaving old realwork behind after 26 years. It was a very hard decision but has been a great one for me. I have absolutely no regrets about my move and can see even more clearly now how little those people cared about me, or any other of their employees, which on the bottom line affects the people who put their lives in their hands every day. How very sad! A jesusfish and chocolate coating can't cover up bullshit.
Due to losing some vacation time in the job transition, I'm running behind on island trips. The last one was St Kitts in April 2010. I really need some sun and sand. I'd dearly love to see SweetPea and Lion in St Kitts right now...chillin' with some rum drinks and enjoying their island hospitality. Hopefully, island time soon come for me!
On the other hand, I was lucky enough to see some of the beaches of southern California for the first time this year. My new realWork was interested enough in investing in their employees to send me to a very large meeting of hospital pharmacists in Anaheim. Thanks guys...hopefully it was money well spent.
I also made a quick trip to the Reno /Lake Tahoe area for the first time, so I've got to see a little more of this US of A.
Been a good year for guitar investing...I'm still amazed to have some of the instruments I've been lucky enough to find.
2010 was the year of the kegerators. Lakelizardmusic went green...no more cans and bottles and excess trash...save the earth. 2011 will see this trend continuing.
I gotta rework my studio so I do more recording...maybe I'll get rid of my furniture in 2011 to change things around a little bit and provide inspiration.
I'm rambling now, so I'll go get some rest...tooooo much fun last night with friends and neighbors at the anual New Years Eve non-party. I had blackeye peas and a big Mac for breakfast...then, the same for supper. Not looking like a year to lose weight so far, maybe I'll give up heroin. If Keith Richards can do it, what the hell...
