Pus-A-Roo : The Inside Story & Pus-A-Roo II 2010

A couple of years ago, me and discoDan were sittin' poolside, studying life and thinkin' 'bout all the wrong we'd done. This mangy ass raggety ol' cat came strolling by like it owned the place. I said, "what the hell?", and discoDan said, "that's our new cat...it wandered in and we fed it and now it won't leave." I said, "what's its name?" and discoDan replied, "kittyPus." After a few more rounds of beverages, I said, "well, I guess you know that makes you danPus!" He allowed how it probably did and that was just the first of the revolving nicknames for discoDan (aka dantheMan, danPus, preacherDan, reverendDan, oneeyedDan, poolboyDan, and on and on.)
Fast forward to last year when danPus decided to celebrate his birthday since no one else would throw him a party. Once again we were floating in the baptismal pool at poolBoy ministries when I said, "reverendDan, you know you GOTS to call this party Pus-A-Roo. After a vote by the quorum (me and reverendDan), the name passed and Pus-A-Roo '09 was born. But alas, idiotDan decided to throw this party on a day when me and nancyO and some others had tickets to Robben Ford at the Belcourt. Now, dan's ok, but Robben Ford is Robben Ford and I ain't missing that. And I understand that the party was a success, but I KNOW that the pre-party held the night before was a LARGE party with much pickin' and drunkeness and floating of the party keg. Oh my! Set the pace for the official party. So, ashamedly, lakelizardmusic was not present for the first official Pus-A-Roo and that's a wrong we can't undo.
But......that brings us to present day and.........drum roll...........

August 21, 2010 @ casa de Pus @ the corner of Twin Coves Drive and Cherry Point Court...overlooking Old Hickory Lake if you look the right way.
There it is children, the true story of Pus-A-Roo, so spread the word and start icing down brewskies, tuning up your guitar, ironing your swimsuit (there's a pool, you could fall in) and getting ready for the upcoming event. I don't know if there's an official time...let's say 6pm unless I post something different. You're welcome to sleep in your car should the need arise...please don't drink and drive. Lakelizard rules apply: come as you are, get like you wanta be!

....this is one of those pictures that's worth at least a thousand words. I brazenly stole this photo from a facebook posting by her daughter. I think I referred to her last year as peacePants and I see no reason to change that for this shot. Kind of leaves you speechless doesn't it?

Darn the luck...I will not be in Lebanon until the 25th. One thing is for sure though...I would be attending with my lovely wife "Anna" and NOT with my old girlfriend from my college days...Lessons learned and not (ever)forgotton. I still don't see the problem though...DallasG
