Check this out...the lake is now at a normal level and my dock is back in place. In the next pictures, look at where the ropes are tied to the trees. When we tied these to hold my dock in place during the floods so it wouldn't float away, we were in a bass boat , seated, and the ropes were tied pretty much at boat level. This is how high the water was behind my house on May 2nd and 3rd.
While this isn't as bad as a lot of the damage and destruction from the floods in Nashville, it still isn't a pretty sight. Took my boat, Copacetic, out for a shakedown cruise yesterday and found this in one of my neighbors' backyard.
Sorry this shot is a little blurry, but if you've ever seen my cajun buddy Ronnie Fruge play, then you understand. Damn that boy can pick...here he's doing a little bud slide on 'Come on Into my Kitchen.'
Friday nights at Larriveres in Mt Juliet, Tn from 6-9.

Comin' home from a relaxing day at new realWork, I'm usually greeted by these beautiful sunsets saying, 'Welcome back to lakelizard land, welcome home.'
Saturday night before Memorial Day party at whiskeyDans....when you have a party, you never know if folks are gonna show up or not. I always say, there'll be between 2 and 200.
Well they kept on rollin' in to casa de Pus for the party. Helluva turnout. Nice blend of the old regular suspects and a lot of new faces. Some new pickers showed up and there were literally hours and hours of non-stop kickass music. CapnKirk handed off his upright bass, and broke out his percussion stuff. uncleH even took a turn beating on the drum and shaking the shakers. If Rusty and Jiggs would take the time to practice now and again, we could have some decent guitar work, but...whataya gonna do?

Talk about a colorful group! Can you spot the lakelizard in this picture? That's none other than perSimmons. Also Jiggs, soCrates, BigT and the shiny spot is whiskey dan...aka danPus...aka discoDan....aka mandoDan.
