New realwork: the first week/krispy kreme/daniel rothwell
Just wound up my first week at new realwork and everything is going GREAT so far. Yes I know it's still the honeymoon period, but I got a good feeling about everything. I'm sleeping good and my blood pressure is down...more importantly I feel like we're actually taking care of patients instead of working in a sweatshop where profit is the only goal. (A jesusfish don't make it alright.) I am proud of myself for making this big step and encourage anybody else to think about things and how short life is.
There are windows at new realwork....I haven't seen outside at work for over 20 years...don't take your windows for granted.
Speaking of old realwork, I've seen a billboard around town that's a little confusing...apparently Nascar great Mark Martin has something to do with the emergency department. I'm not sure if he's in charge of it or is perhaps a practicing medicine there...but I'm sure it's all good. In a related story, the new tire store in town is giving free colonoscopies with the purchase of 4 tires...lifetime free rotation and lube. They'll have you up on the rack and taken care of in no time.
Speaking of emergency, I called an emergency meeting at Weaver's Watering Hole yesterday afternoon that continued on into the night. Myself, NancyO, bobWeaver, jWeaver, raceCar, kDaddy, neighborJeff, and whiskeyDan were in attendance. After a quick beer count, we proceeded to discuss the events of the day, week, month, year and life. Major topics included possibly changing raceCars name to repoPetty, me getting lunch at the Shell station and watching the cows and donkey beside new realwork, and recounting the beers and wondering if we had enough. whiskeyDan requested a shot of Jaeger, but none was available. We all agreed that this was bad and good. bobWeaver made a motion that the meeting be adjourned...well actually, we think he went to bed....so it was agreed that the meeting would be moved to lakelizardmusic studios for steak and eggs. The meeting was adjourned offcially at 11:30 pm....we were out of beer.

Got to participate in an eviction yesterday...the moving of a household of furniture to the front yard of a rental house under the watchful eye of a deputy. Wasn't a fun thing to do, actually was a hell of a lot of work and I'm still hurting from it. Some people have bad luck and some people are just trash and don't pay there bills....or maybe they make bad choices. Anyway, they're gone...don't miss a payment on NancyO...she'll break your kneecaps...or have repoPetty do it for her.
Pay your bills and take care of your family...this is ugly.
Got a nice email from the Rothwells...Daniels cd is being finished up. The version I heard was great...also there is going to be a screening of the documentary about 'Magic' Maupin in Nashville. Get all the info by checking out Daniel and Magic on facebook...or google them. I'm excited for both of them...they're nice and talented folks!
???Well, there were a few warm days after Easter and I broke out the gin and tonic...makes sense to me.
Springtime....finally.

Headed home to lakelizardland after a nice day at new realwork....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

In regards to your comment about life being so short and making a change..... My lease is up at the end of November. I've put my store up for sale. I've struggled with this decision for awhile, but 4 years of nothing but work 24/7 is enough. Everything I love to do has set idle during this time. I've lost myself in the process of owning this business. Yeap!! Life is short. I'm carrying guilt over my dedicated employee not having a job, but I have to take care of me now. Your decision to change has encouraged me to change. I'm going to work from my most favorest place.... home.... it's like being on vacation all the time here in lakelizardland. I'm tired of the stupid business stuff. So... cheers to everyone who finally wakes up and realizes that life is passing you by while you drown in misery!! I'm happy for you, and I'm happy for me. So, my name will need to change from KlosetKaren to something else at the end of November. Yippeeee!!!!!
