Whewwwwwwwwwwwww....there goes another one! As somebody said last night, "this is the best non-party I've been coming to for 20 years." As usual, a nice little turnout at lakelizardstudios for new years eve. Last year I faded about 10pm, but this year I was the last one standing...finally laid down at 3am. So, I've already successfully passed my last years resolution.
I just finished a bowl of hoppin' johns, getting in my new year dose of blackeye peas to ensure that my good luck continues through the year....and they were good, if I do say so myself...I'm an excellent cook, thankyouverymuch.
The pickin' started after midnight, so the quality may have lacked a little, but we made up for it in spirit. We added a few first timers to the gathering and that's always good. Of course the old hardcore regulars including reHarv, mennoniteMalcolm, uncleH, OJ, and danPus were hanging in there. Thanks to everybody that showed up and added to the festivities...(and good food.)
Do you reckon that's a proud papa and grandma and great grandma?
Ok, I'm chillin' (seriously, it's like 20 degrees) the rest of the day, watchin' a little football, and very little else. Although, a blood mary might be nice...
