Fryers, Fiddles, Colt 45 & Deucie Schumacher

Ok, enough of this Christmas season frivolity--back to realwork tomorrow, for me anyway.  Others are lucky enough to be off 'til past New Years, but not this old songwriter.  I will admit that this Christmas turned out better than I had anticipated...there's nothing like a trip down home to put life in perspective.

A present from the lizardkid...I put it into action today...

...and turned out perfect fries and jalapeno poppers...good football food!

Look familiar?...Christmas winding down pile.

Ho cups...

Lizardkid and Bossie...

As me and the lizardkid came into Opp last Tuesday, the sun was setting on Lake Frank Jackson, so I pulled over to take this shot...I like it!

I know I wander away from the music and the lake sometimes in this blog, but it's never far away, even if I'm talking 'bout Christmas and family stuff.
Me and my nephew CBoo had a nice little jam while in Opp, with lots of audience participation in the singing and cutting up and carrying on.  We went on 'til the wee hours and kept bossie up 'til about 2am.  Them's the good times.

Oh yeah, Ccoz and Sleepin' Beauty report that the new addition, Colt45 is doing well and enjoyed his first Christmas.  He's said to be eagerly awaiting the arrival of his cousin, the 2nd greatgrandchild for bossie, the soon to be birthed, DEUCIE SCHUMACHER.

Oh yeah again!  I have a new addition to the lakelizardmusic family that made this Christmas special to me.  I now have another piece of my heritage in my possession...my grandaddys fiddle from the early 1900's.  It's already enhancing the feel in lakelizardmusic studio and will be cherished.  Thanks to the family members that made this possible.  The Blue Springs Boys live on!
