Lakelizardmusicdoppler weather forecast: raincloudsraincloudsrain. It's hard enough to struggle through realwork, but take away the river days and it sure wears on an ol' lakelizard. I gots to get an all-weather boat or a little something for my nerves.
Boz Scaggs put on a good show at the Ryman the other night...it was, well, Boz Scaggs and all of his hits, and a very tight band. I was hoping for some more bluesy stuff, so it was nice when his first encore song was "somebody loan me a dime." The guitar player and the keyboardist hit some hot licks pretty regular too. Opener John Hiatt, who has written lots of good stuff, and who hosts this benefit for Cumberland Heights every year, was pretty much 5 songs and out. I've heard better...pretty much a disappointment from my seat.

Before the show, we had run into John Rich and his entourage outside of the Symphony Hall. After the show, we were strolling down Broadway and ran into him again. He appeared to be making a video in an nice old cadillac, aptly tagged, "Mr Rich." Oh well, it's Nashville.

I've had several comments on the lakelizard video that was posted on this blog and on lakelizardmusic.com. I've also uploaded it to YouTube. I knew that webcam would make things interesting around here.
