Goin' to Jail Goodtime!
Robben Ford at the Belcourt Theatre 8/22. If you don't know who he is, it'd be a good time to find out. One of my mostest favorite guitar players.
Music update: still listening to the Yayhoos and Dan Baird and Homemade Sin. Also just got a new cd by Mac McAnally who's wasted a few years playing music and writing songs with that Buffet boy...Mac's from Mississippi and it shows on this cd. Also just got some music from Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears...this is soul and blues and rockin' and groovin'...a heavy bass line with a bank of horns along with some shout back vocals and the occasional James Brown type howl. Throw in some risque lyrics and a little funky guitar and you got it. Put these four cd's in your changer, along with some Robben Ford and some UncleH (Hbsongs) and you gots yourself a musical good time. A somebody's going to jail, goodtime.
