Are you kiddin' me? Snow?
I know you shouldn't be pissed off on a Sunday morning, but the weather channel has just about done it...did I mention that 3 days ago I was having a morning soak in the caribbean? Rum drinks for lunch? Lobster pizza for dinner? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....&%$@#$%!!!!!
Anyway, back to reality and long pants. Thanks to everybody that dropped me a note or comment this past week...if you asked me to have a rum drink for you, rest assured, your wishes were acknowledged. Note to Pitcherlady: I had the drinks on the bar waitin' for the thirsty mob to show up...guess you got side tracked by a shiny object...and if typical Anguilla time is any indicator, Barney can look for his card sometime just before Christmas. Note to Tatoo: Lizardkid has replaced you as navigator...turns out she can read a map...who'd a thunk it!?!
Good or bad, I've now exposed a member of Homeland Security to lakelizardmusic...we'll expect to see a lakelizardmusic.com t shirt or koozie in the media somewhere in the future...a major network would be great if you could work that out for me...do us proud Santana. And if you're in the Jersey area (I know, why would you be?), we gots a Presidente connection with AnguillaMark...hey man, thanks for the hospitality and stuff...enjoyed sharing the good times...next time, help me with my luggage when you see my ass draggin' in.
Also, there were some folks from St Louis we met...not to say they liked to party, but when they left, the Anguilla economic indicator took a downturn and BartenderMyra was depressed and lonely for a least 2 days. Hope they made it safely back to their own snow and ice and damn cold weather!
I've been posting a few pictures from the trip along the way...if you'll check the website, there's 2 or 3 pics on the homepage. One of these is of UncleH, the Lizardkid, and Bankie Banx..after 4 days of Moonsplash festivities, pretty much all day and night, Bankie was gracious enough to honor the Lizardkid's request for a photo, even though he was in the middle of dealing with a soundman that didn't show...typical Anguilla all around...everyone we talked to spoke highly of Bankie and his efforts to save the dunes and the island...the common term was "Bankie's cool"...indeed, thanx Bankie for the party
and laid back atmosphere of Moonsplash and Dune Preserve...hope to be back soon!
Well, I see the sun is out...I need to go see if I can enjoy it before it disappears...enjoy life, best you can.
