I get a lot of questions about the caribbean and am always glad to give my opinion and help out where I can. I occasionally place links in this blog to my favorite places and people that have helped me out. The first island that I traveled to some 10 years ago was Grand Cayman with a group organized by the Barbeau brothers out of Tullahoma. Since then I've been back to Cayman twice and wouldn't mind going again. The first trip I stayed in a dive hotel by the name of Coconut Harbour...great place right next to the Blue Parrot Bar...but unfortunately, it's gone with the wind (or hurricane in this case). The last two trips I've stayed at a small place called The Turtle Nest Inn. Great place to get out of the tourist traps and into Cayman life. My idea of a perfect place to stay on an island if you're looking for peace and quiet and hospitality ...check 'em out, and tell Alain and Marleine I sent you.

The welcoming doors of the TurtleNestInn, Boddentown, Grand Cayman.
