Goodnews, Badnews
The bad news is that it's a rainy, yucky, cold day outside...the good news it's not ice and snow, and I have to work anyway, so I won't see the weather for the next 12 hrs or so. That's looking at the beer bottle as half full...how can I not be considered an optimistic person, at least today?
It would be a great day to hang out inside and read a book or listen to music...bad news to report: my turntable of 20 years has apparently died. Yes I know about cd's and hard drives and all that stuff, but I'm one of the dinosaurs that love the sound of an album turning. Makes me flash back to memories of places like the long gone Above Ground Records that was in Auburn when I was going to school there. Right now my computer can play some 6600 songs without having to be tended...that is nice and great and wonderful and I truly love the technology...but something about flipping that vinyl disc every 20 minutes or so kept you on your toes. Or you'd wake up to "shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop....(for those that don't know, that's the sound of the needle at the end of the record.) Good times...
Already late, gotta run...enjoy your life.
Ps...my daughter went grocery shopping for me yesterday...she's a good girl...but what can you do with a 5 pound bag of Splenda?
