2008 was a good musical year...besides the good times with Ronnie, Patio, and Don, me and Nancy O got out quite a bit to Nashville to see some folks....Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen, Jack White, Mark Knofler, Jackson Browne, Amos Lee, and Dave Mason come to mind...oh yeah, John Prine and Mac Wiseman at the symphony center.  Good stuff!

  It was also a good year with the Titans games...besides the great year the Titans are having, we've enjoyed tailgating with some old and new friends in the Main Event parking lot. 

  As mentioned earlier, I was in Antigua for my second Sailing Week...if you like nonstop partying in a tropical paradise, oh yeah and there's the boats, then you'd like it.  Fellow travelers were my bro JimmyD, Tattoo, and Nancy O, who was taking the place of Pancho Petty.  It was agreed all around that it was somewhat of an upgrade in traveling companions, since she cooked breakfast and looked much better in a swimsuit.  (sorry Petty)  We attempted to drop JimmyD at the gates of Eric Clapton's Crossroads rehab center, but apparently they have standards.

  It was a journey to get to Bequia, but it turned out to be worth the trouble...three planes and a boat ride later found me and Nancy O in Marie's house, at the end of Low bay beach...Wow...you can see the porch view in the website flashbacks, and the picture of me in the hammock currently at the top of each page, was taken on that porch.  Great snorkeling reef right off the beach.  Definitely wanta go back.  This birthday trip also put us in St Vincent for the night, right in the middle of Carnival.  Lordy, lordy....good times, good times.

  What else I got?  Of course the river's always a good time...cruising up the river and down the river in Copacetic...the main ride in the marine division of Lakelizardmusic.  Oh yeah, Nancy O's first (annual?) barn party was a big success...lots of good food and pickers... good folks came out of the woodwork for that Sunday afternoon party. 

  Me and JimmyD and Nancy O took a little trip to Opp, picked up Bossie and Sadie (those Harrell girls) and headed off to Biloxi for a day and night of gambling and carrying on.  The occasion was Bossie's birthday, but everybody had lots o fun.  JimmyD was the big winner (or so he says), and I did allright, but the girls all had their tootsies painted up in the salon, courtesy of Nance Pants.  This just might be my favorite trip of the year.

  Sure hope everybody else had a decent year...if your realjob sucks, at least enjoy the rest of your life.
